TRACEABILITY THAT STARTS IN THE FIELD

EVERY HARVEST HAS A HISTORY.TEXITRACE MAKES IT VERIFIABLE.

TexiTrace connects verified farmer identity, mapped farm boundaries, crop activity and harvest proof in one tamper-evident record—from field capture to public QR verification.

Built for the pineapple MVP. Designed to grow from a single programme to a wider agricultural traceability network.

FARMER → FARM → CROP → ACTIVITY → HARVEST → QR

Scroll to follow the record

The page follows one pineapple through its record. At sunrise the fruit floats above a field. In chapter one, roots grow from it into a farmer identity record with abstract portrait and ID evidence stamped with location, date and time; the record moves from Draft to Pending approval to Approved and creates fingerprint H1. In chapter two the camera rises over a plot; six GPS points are placed and joined into a closed boundary, then the calculated area, perimeter and point count appear beside a separate declared-area outline, and fingerprint H2 is formed from the farm record and H1. In chapter three the plot fills with a growing crop while eight field activities join a timeline with up to three evidence photos each. In chapter four the mature fruit rises, a harvest lot tag receives a demo HL- code, a QR code is built, and an approval seal locks the record, forming H3 from the harvest record and H2. In chapter five night falls and the three fingerprints H1, H2 and H3 light up as a linked chain anchored to a public ledger; the QR code is scanned and a certificate appears, which can show verified, incomplete, error or unrecognised outcomes. The journey ends at dawn with many farms connected to verification points. Every stage is also described in the text on this page.

01 / VERIFIED FARMER

TRUST STARTSWITH THE PRODUCER.

A field officer creates the farmer record at the source—capturing identity details, a farmer portrait and both sides of the national ID. Evidence is recorded with location, date and time, then submitted for administrator review.

Read the record context

The farmer record becomes the root of everything that follows. Farms, crop cycles, activities and harvest lots remain connected to that approved identity.

02 / GEO-TAGGED ORIGIN

A FARM IS MORETHAN A PIN.

The field officer captures the farm boundary by dropping points around the plot or using a boundary walk. TexiTrace calculates the enclosed area, perimeter and point count, and saves the farm location and geometry for review.

Read the record context

The map is evidence. Declared area and calculated area remain visible together so an administrator can review differences rather than silently overwrite them.

03 / LIVING CROP RECORD

EVERY FIELD ACTIONADDS CONTEXT.

A crop cycle links what is planted to where it grows. Field activities are added to one chronological record, with the date, notes, GPS context and evidence photos captured where required.

Read the record context

TexiTrace keeps activity capture focused: the fields shown depend on the selected activity, so field teams record what matters without navigating unnecessary forms.

04 / HARVEST LOT

THE HARVEST BECOMESA VERIFIABLE LOT.

Harvest is recorded as the final activity in the crop cycle. Saving it captures the harvest date and quantity, creates a lot reference and generates the QR code that travels with the produce.

Read the record context

The harvest stays linked to its farmer, farm and crop cycle. Once approved, the record is locked; a correction creates a new record with a reason instead of rewriting history.

05 / PUBLIC VERIFICATION

SCAN THE CODE.VERIFY THE CHAIN.

The QR code opens a TexiTrace certificate that brings the farmer, farm and harvest relationship together. Approved record fingerprints are anchored to Polygon so a verifier can check whether the presented data still matches the approved record.

Read the record context

If an expected anchor is missing, show Verification incomplete. If the record no longer matches its anchored hash, show Verification error. Never convert either state into a green success message.

Verified on Polygon

All required anchors exist and the record matches its hashes.

A hash proves record integrity. The underlying evidence explains what the record means.

ONE CONNECTED RECORD

From field capture to public proof

TexiTrace follows the agricultural record in the same order the work happens. Each approved stage creates the trusted parent for the next.

  1. Register the farmer

Capture identity, contact details and supporting evidence at the source.

  2. Approve the identity

An administrator reviews the submission. No role approves its own field capture.

  3. Map the farm

Capture a point or walked boundary, calculate area and retain the GPS evidence behind it.

  4. Record the crop cycle

Connect crop, variety, season, planted area and dates to an approved farm.

  5. Build the activity timeline

Record what happens on the plot, including evidence photos and activity-specific details.

  6. Create and verify the harvest lot

Record the harvest, generate its QR code and verify the linked farmer, farm and harvest proof.

PROOF WITHOUT EXPOSING THE RECORD

Operational detail stays useful. The fingerprint becomes public proof.

Off-chain

TexiTrace operational record

  • Farmer, farm, crop cycle, activity and harvest details
  • Farm geometry and calculated area
  • Geo-tagged evidence photos
  • Notes and input records
  • Approval and audit history
  • Stored in the TexiTrace operational platform

On-chain

Polygon trust layer

  • SHA-256 hashes for approved farmer, farm and harvest records
  • Linked hash relationship between the three stages
  • Transaction reference and anchoring time
  • Public ledger verification

The blockchain does not need the farmer’s documents or photographs. It holds the digital fingerprints used to detect whether an approved record has changed.

Approved means fixed

Every captured record moves through the same lifecycle: Draft, Pending approval, Approved or Rejected. Drafts can be changed. Pending records are locked while they are reviewed. Approved records cannot be edited in place. A correction creates a new record with a reason and a link to the record it supersedes.

THREE ROLES. CLEAR RESPONSIBILITY.

Trust depends on who captures, who approves and who can see.

  • Administrator

Runs the platform, creates field officers, manages reference data, reviews submissions, and controls public verification settings.

  • Field officer

Works at the source: registers farmers, maps farms, creates crop cycles, records activities and captures harvest evidence.

  • Farmer

Views their own record, farms, crop cycles, activities and harvest QR codes. When enabled, the farmer may contribute permitted crop updates that still enter the approval queue.

No role approves its own work. Access is limited by role, organisation and assignment.

Evidence captured where agriculture happens

The field workflow is designed around practical capture: multilingual interfaces, readable mobile screens, GPS quality feedback, labelled photo evidence, clear approval states and a QR code that remains the simplest path to verification.

  • English, French and Arabic data conventions
  • GPS boundary capture
  • Evidence photos with capture context
  • Metric reporting with kilograms and hectares as canonical units
  • Role-based access enforced in the data layer
  • Readable verified, pending, rejected and incomplete states
